But the USB hub is simply the vehicle that brought the user to the problem. ==== Analysis ==== Often this problem is related to the "NahimicOSD.dll", which is an On Screen Display service installed by an audio driver. It's quite buggy, and if you do a Google search on it you will find that all kinds of users, using all kinds of different software, are experiencing issues. This particular issue is that the DLL doesn't handle multiple displays very well (if at all), and we believe that it tries to itemize all the display devices, but does so poorly and incorrectly. This results in an infinite loop inside its code. The user must deactivate the Nahimic service. It's not needed, and it provides no value. Since it's an audio DLL and service, it means that any process that uses the audio device (or portions of it), will get the Nahimic DLL injected into its process space. And there's nothing that process can do about it. Once inside the process space, it basically locks up that process. ==== In Summary ==== This information is relevant when you hear "My Rhino is freezing" and multiple monitors are involved.
