NVIDIA GeForce Video Updates

These instructions are for computers that have NVIDIA GeForce graphics hardware.

To complete these instructions you must know:

1. The card manufacturer. This page is for NVIDIA Corporation cards.
2. The video card model. This page is for GeForce models only.
3. The operating system of the computer. Which Windows operating system am I running?

If you are not sure of any of these, please go to Rhino Video Troubleshooting for more instructions.

Before updating your video drivers we recommend creating a system restore point on your computer in case the changes need to be rolled back. Instructions to creating a system restore point.

1. Start Rhino.
2. On the Tools menu, click Options.
3. Expand the View tab (located near the bottom of the list on the left), and then click OpenGL.
4. Look for the Driver Version: line. It will have a long number that looks like x.xx.xx.xxxx The last five digits of this number are the NVIDIA driver version. For instance, if the long Driver Version number is 8.17.11.9713, then the NVIDIA driver version is 197.13.

1. Download NVIDIA GeForce driver version. GeForce Drivers.
2. If the version number on the download is larger then the driver you currently have installed, then start the driver installation.
3. At the point where you can choose installation type, select Custom (Advanced).
4. On the next install screen check the option Perform a clean install.
5. Continue with the installation.
6. Reboot (even though the installer might not suggest it).
7. You are finished.
