To complete these instructions you must know:

1. The card manufacturer. This page is for ATI Technologies cards
2. The video card model. These recommendations are for FirePro cards.
3. The operating system of the computer. Which Operating System?

If you are not sure of any of these, please go to our Video Troubleshooting Section for additional instructions.

ATI made some major improvements to FirePro drivers after July 2014. It is highly recommended to update drivers if they are older the July 2014.

Warning!
It is possible to install the wrong driver for your graphics card and operating system. This will cause many problems. Be very sure you are downloading and installing the correct driver for your system.

Note Before updating your video drivers we recommend creating a system restore point on your computer in the changes need to be rolled back. Instructions to make a system restore point

Update your video driver:

1. Close Rhino.
2. Get updated video drivers.
   1. Desktop: Go to the AMD site.
   2. Laptop: Get updated drivers from the laptop maker's Web site.
   3. Mac: Get Bootcamp updates come from Apple.
3. Select the graphics card make and model and the Windows operating system you're using.
4. Download the suggested driver installer. For Fire Pro drivers we suggest drivers dated later then July 2014.
5. Run the installer.
6. Restart your computer if prompted to do so.
7. Open Rhino to test if your issue has been fixed.
